IRAS stands for Integrated Research Application System.
When creating a new project, you will first be asked to complete the project filter questions. Completing these filter questions is the first key step as the system uses this to determine which questions are enabled in the integrated dataset and which application forms are created
The integrated dataset is where you enter the details of your research project. As you complete each question in the integrated dataset the forms are simultaneously populated, preventing the need to duplicate information.
Once completed, each form can be submitted directly and/or saved as a PDF or XML file to be sent to the relevant review body.
